 I've been thinking about becomming a bartender for awhile now. I've studied 
every free bartending course on the internet. And I've been lurking around 
here for several days now. I think I pretty much have all the information I'm 
ever going to learn (without actually steping behind a bar) that I possibly 
can. I've even made a list of the most commonly served drinks in my area, and 
a list of some oldies too that no one ever really orders but I feel like I 
should know anyway just in case someone does. (I'm still in the process of 
memorizing the recipes for these.)

Anyways. I was wondering what kinds of things should I tell the owners of the 
bars where I am wanting to apply?? What are the most important things I should 
try to let them know about me? Here's what I have so far:

1. I am familiar with all the tools and ingredients that I'll be using as a 
bartender.

2. I've worked as a server in several locations before, including one of the 
places I'll be applying to next week. So I'm already good at waiting on 
customers and using good customer service.

3. I was also an assistant manager to an adult bookstore once, and while not 
directly related to bartending, I did learn how to manage the inventory of a 
business, schedule other employees, deal with employee conflict, manage the 
cash flow, balance the cash registers, and deal with bank deposits for 
business. Which could be important since a lot of the bars in my area are 
kinda one-man shows where the bartender pretty much acts as the manager for 
their shift.


That's all I can think of for now. But if anyone has any other suggestions for 
me as to what to tell the owners during an interview that will help get me 
hired I would really appreciate it cause I really want to be a bartender.
