Schmeh, been tested a couple of times, it's nothing to get worked up over. The 
'tests' I've taken were just general questions so that the managers could see 
where the people coming in were at in their levels of knowledge (both times 
the venues were hiring staff for their opening). What wine would you recommend 
with fish, what's in a martini, what's in a caipiroska, what's in pesto, how 
would you describe risotto, what is one standard drink, and so forth. Then 
again, these tests were generic for all staff incl. bar and floor, so a 
specific bar quiz might be more fun for us. ;) 

Oh, and the last test I did was written, with a little bit of a verbal Q&A 
afterwards, if that helps you any.
