^^^^^^ what he said.  Because of the way I bartend (basically, I'm a guest 
bartender at every bar I'm in because I work with a promoter, not a bar), I 
come in about an hour and a half earlier than expected, every single time, to 
familiarize myself with the bar setup.  I also end up helping set up for the 
night (most of the bars I work in are glassware during the day, plastic 
college crowd at night).  Bar owners love seeing me come in because they know 
I'm reliable and actually interested in doing a good job.
