Spot on about "working flair". 

I dont have the time to practice nor do I work in a bar where full on flair 
would be useful but a flip here, a toss there, a reverse pour or  multi bottle 
pours all get worked into my routine. Point is, it doesnt take much where I 
work to make an impression doing the easy stuff without slowing down the bar. 
If I was to stand back and put on a show I would get harrassed.  

We had a flair bartender working the private club that adjoins the bar I work 
in but he went back to Vegas after a few months. People around here just dont 
go in for it much or dont appreciate what it takes to get good at it and 
therefore wont tip any more for it. In Vegas we kind of expect the extra drama 
and entertainment. I do like watching flair if I'm not thirsty!
