To correctly replace the sweet and sour mix ingredient in a LIIT you will need
fresh lemon juice and simple syrup.

You can make simple syrup by boiling together equal parts of sugar and water.

Now you can control your balance of sweet and sour. If you like your LIIT a
little sweeter put a little more simple syrup. Play with the mixture until you
get the balance you like.

Simple syrup can be used to balance other sour ingredients as well. Its a
great bottle to have in your arsenal.
