Subject: Rusty Nail

A mate and me have started our own scotch collection whereby we buy a decent
bottle, drink it down tilla third left then buy a different scotch next time
around. So far we have 17 bottles and we are averaging one a week :)

We drink each bottle the same way, we have 1 shot with ice, 1 shot without ice
and some water (30ml), 1 shot with nothing, 1 shot with shot of drambuie, 1
shot with glayva.

AWe have found that for the rusty nail that scotch that has been stored in
used sherry barrels tastes much better than just a standard scotch, albeit
differing as well from highland malts to blends and the like

Just wondering if anyone else drinks their rusty nails with particular
attention to the scotch used, or why is it their favourite.

So far our favourite scotch for a rusty nail is Aberlour 14yo
