We have been dealing with this for a while now... so for the last few weeks,
each night, after we clean and mop everything, we put fans out with the idea
that if there is no where for the fruit flies to land, they can't live, and
they can't reproduce.

I don't know why it hasn't worked.

Each night, we pour hot water down the drains for the beer drafts, we put a
fan in front of each of the floor drains, we sweep, the dishes are put away...
but when we return, the flies are there waving us on (Hiiiii!!)

I wonder if I should suggest adding overnight fly strips (just put the fly
strips out when no guests are around, and pick up the dead bugs in the
morning), but I don't know if there is some health reason to not do that.

I've also noticed that other bugs have been much more prevalent than in the
past.... I think it was about a year ago those orange bugs that look like lady
bugs were really popular, and aggressive. This year, at work, we have fruit
flies, I go to my mother's house, and there are moths that seem to need a
Winnebago and boots (they are HUGE) are flying around. At home, I've seen at
least three centipedes in the last month - hey, if I wasn't so scared, I'd
have tried to catch the centipedes, taken one to my mother, one to work, and
let them auction on who got the third)

Could it be some weather issue? I'm in Michigan, but I've been here my entire
life, and the bugs this year are something else!
