That's pretty close to what I do.  I've been meaning to play around so that I 
can work out the ideal proportions but I also start with a 2:1 (by volume) 
simple syrup and add lemon and lime juice (3:1).  Sorry I don't have the 
recipe just yet, I'm planning on working with it a bit more before I finalize 
the recipe.  

Once you've got a decent mix like this all of that Finest Call and other mixes 
will taste like crap in comparison.  I've made my own mix at home for 
margaritas and whiskey sours and people are blown away at the difference from 
what they get in most bars.  Even a Long Island Iced Tea tastes a lot better 
this way.
