Thanks for that! I was going to say exactly the same thing!
(Talking about the classic 5 Whites + Coke, not some putrid Sweet & Sour 
version)
I describe it as
The Gin makes it bitter, but the Bacardi makes it sweet.
The Tequila makes it sharp, but the Cointreau smooths it out.
And all you're left with is a kick from the Vodka.

Another one is one created by a friend of mine - Matt Buchann.
I'd just finished training him and had taught him how BALANCE was key in all 
cocktails, set him through all the paces of learning what works with what.
Then got him to try something new - and he came up with the 'snowflake'
A shooter - 
1/2 Malibu
1/2 Ouzo
Shaken (yes a shaken shooter) with SHAVED ice and filtered into a shot.

Strangely enough - And these are two strong flavours - You hardly taste either!
