Sounds more like it should be called NOLA Manhattan (or something New Orleans 
related) because of the SoCo and Peychaud's.

Other suggestions would be to use Italian sweet vermouth and real cherries, 
not fake maraschino cherries. My fav are Luxardo gourmet cherries. Also, a 
Manhattan is stirred not shaken then strained over fresh ice or in a chilled 
cocktail glass.
