Subject: Pina Colada History Claim in Old San Juan
From: Travis Harstine
Posted: Sun Jan 28. 2001, 22:26 UTC
We were in Old San Juan over the weekend and we ate lunch at this nice little
resturant. On the outside of the door there was a sign that stated the first
pina colada was made ther by a lady in 1964. Do you know the history of that?
I would like to know if that was invented then or if they had them before. I
find it hard to believe that was when it was invented and made for the first
time. Thank you very much.
