Since it appears that changing the subject line when replying to a message has 
become more and more popular lately, I'd like to give a few guidelines:

 * Do not change the subject line when you reply unless you change the
   topic of the thread.

 * Subjects like "To John Doe" is not a good subject. This is a public
   forum and messages are by definition not to a single person. Plus,
   personal messages have in several cases started "flame wars" and they
   are not welcome.

Also, when you consider replying to a message, ask yourself if you have 
anything new to contribute in that thread. Replying to messages just to say "I 
agree" or "good reply" is usually just noise and should be avoided. (Messages 
saying "Thank you for your reply/replies" is acceptable if you started the 
thread by asking a question, but saying "Thank you" to anoher "Thank you" 
message just create noise).
