I'm having an 80s party in a couple weeks, and I'm serving Jack and Tab soda.  
In case you don't remember, Tab was the original diet cola that came out in 
the 80s.  Some grocery stores still carry it.  I got mine at Kroger.  Jolt 
works too, and pop rocks and pepsi and some kind of alcohol could be fun.  
Miller Genuine Draft came out in 1986.  Any ice beer also possesses the 
cheesiness I think you're looking for.  Good luck!
