Today The Webtender can celebrate the beginning of its fourth year on the net.

On May 7th 1995 the very first version of The Webtender was put on-line as a 
part of my personal homepage. Back then, The Webtender had 1000 recipes as 
static, non-searchable pages.

In early 1996 the first version using a database in the backgroud was put 
on-line. The number of recipes increased slowly, and about 100 people visited 
every day.

Excactly one year ago it moved to www.webtender.com and since then a lot has 
happened. The number of recipes increased to the current 4.000, more advanced 
search possibilities have been installed and more than 5000 people from all 
over the world visit every day.

Hopefully, The Webtender will continue to exist in the years to come. Several 
hundred interesting new recipes are waiting to be added and several sections 
will receive a "facelift" soon. I finish my studies at the university in 
December, but because of all the positive resonse I receive, I plan to 
continue running this web-site for a long time.
