In my database experiments, I've always thought it was important to try to 
provide a 'provanance' field - where it came from/was first 
seen/published/heard about. Unfortunately on a contribution-driven site, 
that's not very effective, as the complaints about Cocktaildb show.

I think that using bartender competition results would be a great idea - 
almost the only time you can get a firm name and date publically assigned to a 
drink - and its definative recipe. Possibly even an anecdote to go with it!

So everyone, you want to 'copyright' your drink (almost an FAQ) ? Easy. Win a 
competition with it and get published in the trade mags.
