Thanks for the tip.
I infused a 750 of Ketel One with a quart of fresh picked strawberries last
summer.
Left them in for three days, then strained it all through cheesecloth. The
strawberries were almost completely white, the vodka deep red and the
taste and smell of the liquor was undeniably FRESH strawberries. It didn't
last very long at all. Amazing color and flavor.
The lime-infused rum, on the other hand... Definitely need to do something
OTHER than full slices of the fruit. It was bitter and overpowering. It did NOT
get drunk.
