Karen. London, England Edition.

Everyone in the hospitality industry knows what a "Karen" is, it's an entitled person, of any gender, who thinks that they can demand more than any other customer. A "Karen" looks down on everyone, regardless of race, and usually sees it as a point of honour to pressurise servers at their chosen spot to see how far they can push their luck. It is a point of conjecture amongst servers as to whether or not there is a competition between members of these group of diners to "Out-Karen" their companions. ...

Hi Webtender Community, I live in the Netherlands (EU/Europe) and work on a magic trick with 52 drinks. While showing the first dummy to some people, a former bartender said that some drinks are not being served in the US. That is why I decided to reach out to you for help. Please find below the list. ...

Interesting BuzzFeed Quiz - Drink of Choice

Lately, I've been reading a lot about studies to do with how the type of drink someone orders can often tell a lot about the person. Additionally, many bartenders can make inferences of their customers based on what they order. This quiz is supposed to tell you when in history you should've been born based on these characteristics and the drink you choose. Tell me what you think,

how do you infuse a flower into a foam for cocktails

I recently had a beverage topped with a foam that numbed your mouth. The foam was created from the buzz button flower and I loved the effect. I hear the flower is used in cocktails in vegas, but I've never seen it infused into foam. I bought the seeds, grew the flower and they are awesome. But I can't figure out how to make it into a foam to top a cocktail. ...

Everglo liqueur shortage/unavailability

In the Baltimore area Everglo has disappeared off of shelves in liquor stores, and distributors have informed the bars that they will not be getting a resupply until early 2019. Has anyone heard of this shortage/lack of stock in other areas? Drinkers here, including myself, are preparing to "roll their own" batches of Everglo to get us through this dry spell. ...

Organizing the liquor

My bar has 3 shelves. Do I put like liquor in a row or in sections (up & down the shelves grouped together)? There's room to display the tequilas/vodkas on one shelf, rum & gins on another, whiskey/bourbon on 3rd. Currently it's displayed like that. My co-worker wants to sort them up and down the rows. Wondering what is correct.

Layer issues

I'm having some difficulty creating a layered mixed drink with Midori and some soda. For whatever reason, I can't get the Midori to float, despite the fact that it should have a higher specific gravity. I can get blue curacao to float on the soda and that's only 4% higher (blue curacao being 24% to Midori's 20%), so I'm not sure what the issue is. Does anyone have any advice about how to get the Midori to float? Maybe adding something to either the soda or the Midori?

We host an annual awards ceremony for contractors. I'm looking for a tart/sour drink recipe that we could mix up in large batches a couple of days prior to the event (so no added soda/pop) and serve in closed mason jars on ice. Any ideas?

Best Fruit Purees Available?

So, I'm doing a little market research on fruit purees. I would like your feedback on what the best products out there are for providing a high quality fruit flavour without being super sweet. We want to see whether it is possible to use a market product instead of a house-made syrup to be more cost efficient. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
