I'm not from Chi town but the recipe I use for Bloody Marys has horseradish in 
it. I got the recipe from Johnny White former football player for Aurburn 
Uiversity and bar owner in New Orleans.He's desceased now but two bars in New 
orleans have his name. The recipe is kinda long but was posted in reply to 
lulu on 5,sept 2000 subject:bloody mary. Just click on my name and at my 
profile view my posts you'll see it. The trick to the horseradish  which I  by 
the by jar already processed. is not to get the kind that has mayonaise  in it 
just the plain horse radish. As far as the mix goes don't add the vodka till 
you make the drink
