What americans think are tradional mexican drinks and what mexcians drink 
tradionaly are worlds apart. for the first I would say sangeria,or beer

for the latter check out htt://www.mexdesco.co/bebidas/bbdanals.htm there are 
arrows in the design at the bottom, click on the right arrow about four pages 
in you find a list.

sugar cane aquardiente mixed with fruit juice is very popular in most places
 and there is  a low proof corn liquor that goes by different names in 
different regions,  tesquino,chicho, senchcho are all basicly the same.
