I would agree with not letting others name your bar. It takes out the
personal touch.

If you're stuck with coming up with names, try something different. After
getting the theme of your bar figured out, try typing some common words that
are associated with the theme into a thesaurus program or looking them up in
one of those paper thesaurus books.:-) It may just return a word that sounds
good next to the word bar, pub, saloon,or whatever. Just remember not to use
copyrighted words or names.

When you apply for your buisness license the state will tell you if the name
has been used in that sate or not. You could run into lawsuits if you name it
something like McHappy's. McDonalds has copyrights on most words preceded with
"Mc". Using famous people's names will get you into trouble too.

My 2 cents

Scott
