A layered drink is refered to as a pousse-cafe'

Rainbow Pousse-Cafe' from the bottom up in this order 1/2 oz each. dark creme
de caco,creme de vilolette,yellow Charteuse,marachino liquer,Benedictine,green
Charteuse, cognac.(i used to mix mine in a champagne flute)The only place I've
ever sold any was in a 4 star restaruant that had a picture of one on the
menu.I would be willing to bet most bars don't even carry all the ingredients.

the trick to making a pousse-cafe is to go slow pour over the back of a
spoon. The highest proof goes on top.If you have enough time before hand you
can simply put the drink in a cooler and it will seperate itself.

A smaller one,3layers is a traffic light: botton to top,1/3 oz each. green
creme de menth, creme de banana, sloe gin. there are special posse-cafe glasses
that are very similar to sherry glasses.

There are a bunch of others,b52,king alphonse,mexican flag,stars and
stripes.plus I lot more I can't remember at this moment.
