Subject: Serving Beer in plastic cups, problems
From: rippopotamus

Hi, just looking for some advice, we normally serve drinks in glasses however
when doing large functions (200-400) ppl, it becomes unproductive to use them
so we turn to clear plastic disposables.

now here's the issue, 9 out of 10 times when filling the cups up with draught
the glass fills with foam, which leads to about 50% wastage on each pint as a
result of pouring off the head.
this doesn't happen all the time sometimes it pours great with no change to
pouring style at all!

you can see the reaction as soon as the beer hits the cup it starts to bubble
up and react.

anyway, we have a function coming up with 2-4k expectead headcount so cannot
afford to be wasting this much beer. any ideas? lines are all clean, pressire
is correct and temp, plastics are stored at room temperature, never have the
problem with glassware.

sorry for long post!
