Greetings all --
Been working on a cocktail recipe and at a point where feedback would be
helpful if there any willing souls out there. The concept of the cocktail is
a dark take on an Aviation that aims for something with a little more kick.
The Flight 800 Cocktail:
2 oz London Dry Gin
.75 oz lime juice (any more than this will ruin the balance)
.5 ounce Creme de Violette
.5 ounce Absinthe (any green absinthe will do, necessary to create a "smokey"
grey color to the cocktail)
2 dashes of Boker's bitters
Garnish with Maraschino cherry
The result in is an echo of the aviation, but much less sweet and with a
harder edge, including a somewhat eerie grey-toned color.

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
