I've been a natural bartender since i could legally drink and realized in the past year that this is my desired career path. This is exactly what i want to do. I make great drinks and I've done tons of freelance bartending for free just because i love it so much. Watching people's faces light up when they take their first sip is my favorite part:) This past year, i went to this bartending school. I learned so much, but a two week course turned into six months. I took the final several times and started noticing that they would mark questions wrong then contradict themselves in class the next week. Talking to other students the general consensus was that no one passes unless the instructor has a good day. I put so much time and effort in this. I studied so many hours every week. By the time i was burnt out on this, we moved. It was all right for a while, but now i actually have to work for money. Long story short, my husband and i are separating. I know i just need to pound the pavement being very confident and entertaining. Showing people what i know. It's been hard enough getting my first bartending job, then life just smacks me in the face. Any advice or tips? Anything for this newbie would be appreciated:)
