The best mojito should not use sugar syrup or "lime juice".

Use lime wedges and real brown sugar. Everything should be fresh for best
taste.

Here is my mojito recipe.

Serve in 15oz Collins glass

Muddle:
4/5 lime wedges
2 heaped bar spoons soft brown sugar
5 Mint leaves

Fill glass two thirds with crushed ice and add 50ml Havana Especial (or Havana
15yr if you want to go premium)...
Add 5-10 more mint leaves and stir vigourously with bar spoon, pulling the
wedges and sugar through the ice until evenly spread throughout the glass.

Top glass with crushed ice and fill remainder with soda. Add crushed ice cap
and garnish with slapped mint sprigs, and a wedge of lime or lime wheel. Place
straw next to slapped mint so the drinker can smell the mint when drinking
from the straw.

;)
