Named after the trees that grow along the banks of the Missouri River in the north... Cottonwood 2 oz bourbon 1 oz triple-sec 1 oz lemon juice 1 tsp superfine/powdered sugar 3 dashes Angostura bitters 3 oz club soda 2 Maraschino cherries 1 orange slice Muddle the sugar, bitters and cherries together. Dissolve with a splash of club soda. Fill a Collins glass half way with ice cubes. Pour the muddled mixture on top of the ice cubes. In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice, and triple-sec. Shake well. Strain into the Collin's glass. Top with club soda. Stir, and garnish with the orange slice.
