It seems to get very popular to drink artificial cocktails. I've seen several
big adds on premixed cocktails in the Netherlands very recently. Most of them
are like the Mojito, Caipirinha and Cosmopolitan and made by some of the
lesser brands. So those three flavours have turned into some generic fantasy
flavour like cola.

Why would people buy this? Because they don't know better. In my area I am
sure many people have never tasted a drink with fresh mint or fresh lime and
cranberry juice is a blend with water and sugar. Also, while it may not be the
real deal it does carry the popular name and it does taste different compared
to the other many soda's. The problem with these products is that they have a
very short life cycle. The interest in them will fade away.
