your viewpoint is different from mine. You are probably right. You are the
best. But we can agree to disagree. I truly believe the influential
misconception of something as simple as a name of a drink, radically changes
the public's education about that particular cocktail.

We need look no further than the martini itself. Most americans believe this
drink is made with vodka, why? Sure James bond had an enourmous role in this,
but we must give credit where it is due. The name vodka martini is the
culprit, with every order insinuating its ingredients with it's very name to
patrons.

Had it been called, or if it could be called a vodkatini, nobody would ever
assume a martini is made with anything other than gin.

This manhattan and coke order could be and probably would be confused with "a
manhattan" and "a coke".

Although, being the savior of drinks while disaronno is pumping out
commercials for italian margaritas and calling it something so ridiculous I
can't even remember what it was called is pointless. They boldly promoted
margarita mix as an ingredient.

I wish I could get the government to remove safety labels and just let things
work themselves out.
