It's not so much where you work as it is how you work.  You should be more 
personable with the patrons and always smile!  Learn some flair and other bar 
tricks and you'll notice the tips start getting better and better.  Learn 
names, faces, and act they are so important to you, you'll turn $1's into 10's 
and 10's into 100's.  

And yes it is very normal to make $0 on a paycheck, if you make 2.13 an hour.  
don't count on that paycheck, work on service and even slow nights, will be 
good nights.
