I was just putting him in his place.

it is not subjective, nor is it regional.

That's just what bartenders say that don't know how to make something. EVERY
DRINK in the history of mankind had some sort of start. Someone,
somewhere, made it first, so even if two drinks containing the same ingredients
where called two different names when they were made at the same time, someone
still made it first. and called it something first.

There are no drink regions, only knowledgable bartenders.

with that said, i'm not giving away answers to that prick, (because I know he
can't find them online) but I assure in every part of the country there is a
mixologist who cares.

absinthe was made illegal in the early part of the 20th century as a matter a
fact, the word itself was illegal hence, HERBSAINT which is traditionally used
in the sazerac is an anagram for absinthe. you should be able to get one of
those anywhere, it's only the original cocktail.

nobody knows where the word cocktail came from. we know when it was first
printed, what it meant at the time, but as for its actual origin nobody can
truthfully lay claim to this word's history.

it's accepted by most, that the word derives from the american
mispronouciation of what the french called a cocktail. (because it makes the
most fucking sense) which was similar to your modern day what?

it is what it is, no regions,no variation recipes, there always was and always
will be an original. you have the old-fashioned down south and then you have
whatever the fuck adam just made me. "that's how we make them up north"
<--this is what I was talking about.

what website did I get ANY of my post from? and i've posted 100's of post?
please tell me where you see this?

I think the internet has ruined the industry, before you actual had to read
and cross reference and talk to other bartenders. now and days you just look
it up,which most of the time is not true.

I can put up a site tomorrow claiming whatever drink I want, and it has to be
true because it's online, right? right....

now you have people like you and savant thinking your smart for looking things
up that are not true, or have very little relevence to the truth.

if you can't get 6 chartruese drinks, or 12 absinthe drinks, you're going to
the wrong bars. but don't say the rest of the country doesn't, because it does.

This isn't even your arguement anyway, besides you don't have the answers and
neither does he. point proven, as you see he has not replied, I could have
answered these in 3 minutes tops without the precious internet.

enjoy your bud light, sir.

p.s. rose's lime juice is very bad for your health, please use fresh lime
juice in the future.
