D Cocktail

At a convention for German Schuhplattlers last weekend I was introduced to a
drink that was new to me. It is probably the D-Cocktail introduced in Germany
for the 2006 World Cup, but it was simply called "So Schmeckt Deutschland!" (A
Taste of Germany) at the convention.
It was served in a small, narrow "shooter" glass in which was layered three
different liquors in the colors of the German flag: Yellow on the bottom, Red
in the center, and Black on top. I was told that the liquor used for black was
Black Vodka. The method for drinking the cocktail, after toasting Pros't with
fellow drinkers, was to put all the liquid into your mouth at once and mix it
there by swishing it around and not swallowing until it is thoroughly mixed!
My questions are:
o Does anyone know more about rhis drink?
o What are the different liquors used to layer this drink? Obviously they each
have viscosities different enough to allow the layering, where the Black Vodka
has the least dense viscosity.
The drink was made using a small funnel whose bottom was near the bottom of
the shot glass and carefully pouring in the pre-measured amounts of liquor
beginning with the Black Vodka. This differs from the more traditional method
of using the back of a spoon for layering a drink, but perhaps it's better!
One could easily imagine doing the same thing for flag colors of other
countries that use three colors (tricolor) in solid bands such as France,
Italy, and Ireland for example.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
