During the xmas holiday, i've always made my grandmothers Swedish Glogg.
It's a traditional holiday punch,served warm..and drank with caution!!
It sneaks up on ya!! I have never tried it with cinnamon vodka, but will this
year. Heres the recipe...'GOD JULE( MERRY XMAS..I think!! my swedish not so
good)
In a large pot
2 cups water
1 piece orange rind
1,1 inch piece fresh ginger peeld/sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
5 whole allspice
2 cardamon pods,bruised
1 vanilla bean split lengthwise
1 750 mil red wine ( i use port)
1 cup vodka(cinnamon vodka in your case,and more vodka in my
case!!lol)
1/2 cup sugar
combine 1st 10 items in large pot over med.heat
bring to a simmer.DO NOT BOIL
reduce to low,cover 15 min.
remove from heat,stir in sugar till disolved
strain mixture,and serve it warm with a cinnamon stick garnish.
There's always room for jello....shots!!!!
