well chris,
Keep in mind that many drinks have their own glass and there are many
types of glasses. They are all pretty simple, just follow guidelines.
Absinthe glass (absinthe), Pony (aperitifs) , Champagne flute & saucer
(champagne) , Red wine glass, white wine glass, sherry glass (sherry),
margarita saucer. (margarita), parfait (frozen drinks), pousse-cafe (similar
to pony, intended for original pousse-cafe drink), hurricane glass
(hurricanes), hand grenade glass (hand grenade), collins glass (of course tom
collins, single or double liquor and single or double mixer.) Highball glass
( highballs, tall calls, single-liquor and red bull), Whiskey sour glass
(whiskey sour), rocks or old-fashioned glass (old-fashioned, single-liquor
and single mixer.) Shot glass (shots), martini glass (martinis), cocktail
glass (cocktails). But also keep in mind that these are just guidelines for
example a bloody mary calls for a collins glass, but it is a single liquor and
single mixer. So to be absolutely sure, you'd have to research whatever
particular drink that you wanted to know what type of glass it is served in.
hope that helped -David
