Subject: New: My Own Version Vigin Mimosa

This is a GREAT recipe for any time of day, but of course always good with
breakfast as it provides LOADS of Vitamin C, among others! Here's the deal, a
while back, I don't quite remember for sure where, but my husband and I picked
up this wonderful frozen drink concentrate: Pineapple Apple Orange! No I
know, it doesn't sound like the most wonderful thing to some, but before you
wrinkle that nose too far, trust me the flavors blend perfectly, none of the
three being too dominant!!! Well, like all things in life that we find once
and truly love, the store stopped carrying it and we were never able to find
it again. So, I took a chance and improvised with Old Orchard Pineapple
Orange mixed with plain ole Old Orchard Apple. Makes 96 ounces, but believe
me, disappears fast, and no kids in the house drinking it up, only the two of
us, my husband and myself. Then one morning, since I have fibromyalgia, and
my Rhuemotologist is always on me about vitamins and the like, I had some of
this wonderful juice and I thought, "Hey, wouldn't this go perfect with my
other addiction, 7-UP?" And after some experimentation (and remember mixing
amounts and taste are always up to the tastee) I found the most wonderful
combo in the world. It's just like a mimosa I had at a friend's Bridal
Breakfast, only MUCH BETTER! So here it is, take the two juice drink
concentrates and mix in a large jug big enough to hold 96 ounces. As with any
sparkling beverage, you do not want to mix in the 7-UP until right before you
drink it. Trust me when I say, you DO NOT want to use anything but 7-UP, the
others (Sierra Mist, Sprite, etc.) just do not mix right with this drink! I
take about 2/3 to 3/4 juice added to 1/3 or 1/4 7-UP and, there you have it.
I found the best way to keep your remaining pop from going flat is to use the
Press-n-Seal over the top and it keeps nicely. I mix my drink in an old
powerade type bottle and that way, the lid keeps the mimosa from going flat
(if you're a sipper) and when I add everything, I put the lid on and SLOWLY
turn the bottle upside down then back so that it doesn't explode upon opening.
Enjoy, and please let me know what you think!
