Oh yeah, the cruise gig is sweet. I really had to go through a lot with that.
They want credentials, books, references, etc.
Get this: there are 371 festivals in the state of Florida just in April. The
other months are just as high. Florida is great because the weather is always
nice (mostly). You have to weed through them to see what would be appropriate
for your wares. The bigger the Festival (like the ones you refer to) the
higher the cost. Those spaces will cost up to $500. The food spaces are $6000!
If it rains or whatever you do not get your money back. I'm starting small to
get the hang of it so I can learn before I graduate to the big ones.
I can get a 2000-2001 23 ft RV for about $25,000. The one I really want is
$100,00. Beautiful modern interior, stainless sinks, granite countertops, etc.
But I can buy a used one and fix it up myself for now. Besides, RV's -like all
vehicles- depreciate.
