Chain restaurants hire more based on personality and attitude than skill or
knowledge. You'd have to learn "their" recipes all over again even if you were
an experienced tender, and wine will vary from place to place - just make sure
you know the core wine basics as they may quiz you a bit on that, but
definitely nothing brand based. Just go in with a positive attitude, let them
know you're a team player, extremely customer service inclined, can cover a
shift on a minutes notice, have an open schedule and are ready to work your
ass off and you'll do just fine.
