I was watching a WWII-era movie incarnation of "Brewster's Millions" (if you're not familiar with the plot, a man must spend $1,000,000 in two months in order to receive a much larger inheritance, while keeping the arrangements secret from everyone else.) In one scene the dialogue goes something like this: Brewster: I've rented out the top floor of the most expensive hotels in the city! Brewster's Fiancee: Why, so you can land a helicopter on it? Brewster: That's a great idea! Hey, get me a helicopter! Brewster's valet: Would you like that with scotch or bourbon? Business associate 1: Better make mine a double. Valet: Doubles for everyone! Business associate 2: I think I need a triple. Valet: Triples for everyone! Brewster is then seen drinking a "helicopter" out of a highball glass. Question: What is a helicopter?

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?. Find the answers in The Bartender's Handbook. |
