Hum... most bartenders (at least here in CA, not sure if it's the same where
you are) learn their trade on the job, meaning they don't attend school to
become a bartender, they just get hired and then the establishment trains
them. Some people attend a "bartending school" but these are ususally only
used to try to find a job more quickly or at a better establishment. The
problem with finding jobs in bartending is that, unless you have connections,
it can be difficult to find your first job and many end up starting off
instead as a hostess, busboy, waiter, dishwasher or barback and then
eventually promoted to bartender. Although many places don't require any sort
of secondary school, bartenders must be intelligent, have good memories, think
quickly on their feet, be good at multitasking and should be good with basic
arithmatic. It's not an easy profession, but can certainly be fun. I only
wonder what your parents or other relatives may think when, at such a young
age, you express to them your aspirations of becomming a bartender.... Good
luck
