 Dear sir never heard of a watermelon spike, But back in highschool We use
 to cut a hole an inch aross in a watermelon. Open a FIFTH OF JACK DANIELS 
and slam  the neck in place in the refrigerator untill the melon had absorbed
 the jack Carve and eat, " dont waste the juice its an excellent punch base. 
We did this with vodka, tequilla , southern comort, everclear. You know kids 
whatever we could get our hands on. We refered to this teqnique as
 "doping a melon"
