Also, when layering (I can't believe nobody has brought this up), use a
maraschino cherry... it works like a charm 100% of the time.
-hold the cherry by the stem and place it into the glass so it is floating
ontop of the liquor like a buoy. then slowly pour the liquor on top of the
cherry.
