As a percentage, there's a higher profit on Alcohol and beverages in general.
However food (at least in restaurants) is typically accounts for a higher
amount of sales. In any event, at least in Oregon, the trend has been to offer
cheap food (especially during late night happy hours) which then drives drink
sales.
