Subject: Going for a barback position newbie starting in the industry

Im 22 and I've finished my online course for bartending however, I still feel
ill-equipped in expierence, So I decided its best to work my way up and get
the feel of the enviroment and some actual real life expierence.

Now I know most bars really dont need barbacks or atleast managers percieve it
as an unneccesary expense in the payroll until they get to a certain size so
im aiming for the huge club bars. I live in the sacramento area so if you know
of any such places besides the "barcode /aka the rage" please feel free to
direct me.

I am used to fast pace multi-tasking enviroments because I've been working
retail/customer service for the last 4 years and the last year it has been at
Bevmo! the biggest chain of retail liquor stores on the west coast. I've taken
a great intrest in spirits all the way down to their fermentation origins, to
the distilliation. So needless to say I feel like the most qualiifed person
there.

What tips can you provide a newbie like me to find and get a hold of this job.
How else can I extend my qualifications to geting started in the bar industry?

I've read some of the other barback related forums and will continue to peruse
through them for more information, thanks for your help/time.
