  Giving away drinks is not against ABC laws, but it violates tax laws. The 
easy way around this is to say this is on "me", or we would like to buy you a 
drink. As long as the drink is acounted for covered. I've never heard of 
someone getting in trouble with the law over this, only management seems to 
cause trouble.
