This is the official I.B.A. "Singapore Sling " recipe :
1 1/2oz gin
1/2oz cherry brandy
1 oz fresh lemon juice
2 oz soda water
Shake all but the soda water.Strain into an ice-filled highball glass.Stir in
the soda water.Garnish with a slice of lemon and a maraschino cherry.
And this is the "Original" Singapore Sling recipe as invented in the Long Bar
in Raffles Hotel by bartender Ngiang Tong Boon, in 1915.
2 parts gin
1 part cherry brandy
3 parts pineapple juice
1 part grenadine
1 dash triple sec
1 dash benedictine
Shake, stir into a large "sling" glass. Fill with soda. Garnish with a
pineapple slice and a red cherry.
Cheers
Happy holydays
