Subject: Placement of fingers when pouring using Hawthorne strainer
From: Sanjit Keskar

I notice that some Hawthorn strainers have two ears and some four for
placement over the mix can while pouring

is it that as the diametric size of the Hawthorn strainer increases so do the
number of ears for greater stability owing due to increase in size

But the main question is where are a bartebnders fingers ideally supposed to
be placed for a comfortable, hygienic and aesthetic looking pour ?
