To barback you should be able to lift at least 50 lbs.  You will be carrying 
cases of beer and liquor, buckets of ice, and changing kegs.  If the place is 
busy, you will be running your ass off and the barback is sometimes expected 
to bounce as well, so cocktailing is probably the best advice you have gotten.
