Subject: Resume for bartending
From: Thomas428

I have a quick question: on my resume, if I put that I have a year experience
in bartending, back in another state that I lived in about 3 years ago before
I moved to my current state, plus put freelance bartending on there as well,
and with other experience on there as a server and host when I was younger (25
now), would I have a good chance of getting a barback position somewhere? I
know the resume isn't the only thing that gets you the job, I'm also good at
interviewing as well, but do you think they would they want to hire me as a
bartender? i'm confident in my abilities, but I would rather start as a
barback and learn even more, as well as about the establishment and everything
as well, so I can become a great bartender there.

would they check up on any of those places back in the previous state I lived
in? or do they usually not check references..

 thanks for any help!!
