(Excuse my posting in 2 sections.. don't know where is most appropriate)
Hey all,
During my 6 week bartending program at a local school, we had to memorize a
few hundred drink recipes that we were regularly tested and drilled on (both
written and practical). The only way we learned to remember was by using those
mnemonics or wordplays that contain the ingredients.
You know.. Kamikaze = Very Tragic Landing = Vodka + Triple Sec + Lime.
Here's my question. I've noticed these don't seem to exist in the public
domain or in published books, online, etc. I always believed them to be common
knowledge to many bartenders, but it seems learning them is reserved to bar
school unless you want to come up with them on your own.
I can't imagine there's copyright on such general information.
Any thoughts?
Cheers,
David
