Subject: New? Variations based on the Chicago Cocktail
From: Tobinn

I took the basic Chicago Cocktail of:
2.0 oz Brandy
0.25 oz Triple Sec
1 dash A. Bitters
Stir, Strain
Cocktail Glass

And changed it thusly:

2.0 oz Brandy (I used an inexpensive but drinkable brandy the name of which I
forget)OR Gin (I used Plymouth)
0.25 oz Triple Sec (or Cointreau)
0.25 oz Light Creme de Cacao
2 dashes Pechyaud's Bitters
1 dash Absente
Stir, Strain
Cocktail Glass

I tried it first with brandy and then thought to swap the brandy with gin
which worked well, too.

If anyone knows if this is a known drink let me know the name, otherwise, try
it, if you like it call it what you like.
