My dear collegue from Sweden, it's not easy to get a job in the USA being a
non resident, in order to get a job, as a foreigner you need a "green card"
wich is issued by the Immigration Authority, but I. A. have closed the doors
many years ago, nowadays to get a job you need to proof that nobodyelse in the
USA can do your job, and normally in this trade the only one who have a good
chance are the chefs de cuisine who are hired for their particular skill in
regional or very high, or specific cuisine of a particular country, you see
the chances to get a job as a bartender are very limited , what I suggest is
to contact a good cruise company, like "Crystal Cruises" or "Cunard" or
"Radisson" and try to get a job there, this companies carry mostly american
passengers and lifestyle on board is very much american, if you need more help
let me know.
